What this site records, why, and what it does not. Written to be read rather than to cover us — if anything here is unclear, ask and we will explain it or change it.

What we collect when you order
Your name, mobile number, delivery address and city, what you ordered and what it cost. An email address and delivery notes if you choose to give them. We keep this because it is the order: we need it to call you, deliver, and answer questions about it afterwards.
What we collect when you book a consultation
Your name, mobile number, the time you chose, and whether you want to meet at the shop or speak on a call. The questions about what you would like help with, what you have already tried, and any medication or pregnancy are optional — you can book without answering any of them. We ask about medication because herbal preparations can interact with prescribed medicine. Only the shop's own staff can read these answers.
What we collect while you browse
Which pages you opened, how long each one was visible, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device you used, which language you read in, and which site or link brought you here. We also record when something is added to a cart, when checkout begins, and when someone leaves for WhatsApp, a phone call or a delivery app.
Your network address is not stored
It is used once, at the moment of the request, to work out which country you are in — and then discarded. It is never written down, and there is no record anywhere from which it could be recovered.
What we keep in your browser
Three things, and no cookies. A cart, so it survives a reload. A visit identifier, which lasts thirty minutes. And a random visitor identifier, which lasts twelve months and is what lets us count how many different people visited rather than how many times the site was opened. None of them contains your name or any detail about you, none is shared with anyone, and none can follow you to another website. Clearing your browser data removes all three.
If you would rather not be counted
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we collect nothing at all — no pages, no timings, no identifier. Several browsers and extensions send it, and we check it before anything else. Ordering and booking still work normally.
We do not sell or share it
No advertising networks, no analytics companies, no data brokers. Nothing you do here is shared with anyone for any purpose of theirs. The site is hosted by Netlify and the database by Supabase, who process it on our behalf and for no other reason.
Where links take you
Talabat, Careem, Mythings, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook are not ours. We record that you chose to leave for one of them, which is a count on our side and tells us nothing about what you did after. Once you arrive, their own terms apply. The Visit Us page shows a Google map, which loads from Google when you open that page.
How long we keep it
Detailed browsing records are deleted after 180 days. The daily counts made from them are kept, because they are how we compare one month with another, and they describe nobody in particular. Records of who visited on which day are deleted after 400 days. Orders and bookings we keep as business records — we need to be able to answer a question about an order a year later.
Asking us about your information
Write to info@elixirhousemena.com, or call, and tell us the mobile number you used. We will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. If you ask us to delete an order we may have to keep a minimal record of the transaction itself, and we will say so rather than quietly keeping more.
A consultation is not medical advice
Our consultations are guidance on our own products. They are not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and not a substitute for seeing a doctor or pharmacist — particularly if you are taking medication, pregnant or breastfeeding.
